Adding A New Server
1. Launch WinAdmin. The application automatically launches the “Favorite Servers” screen.
2. To add a new server, press the “New” button in the upper left corner. The “New Server” screen slides in from the bottom of the screen. By default, all new servers start with a color setting of “Hundreds” and a resolution of “640 x 480”. These settings can of course be changed if desired.
3. At the very least, each new server needs a title and a hostname. The title should be a unique and will be used to identify the server within the “Favorite Servers” screen. The hostname should be either the IP Address or DNS name of the Windows server that you wish to connect to.
4. Optionally, you may enter a username, password and domain needed to login to this Window server automatically. Saved passwords are stored securely in your iPhone/iPod’s keychain.
5. You may change the number of colors and the resolution as well. Adjusting the resolution equates to adjusting the screen size when using remote desktop. A higher resolution allows for a larger desktop.
5. Press the “Save” button in the upper right corner. Your new server will be added to the list of Favorite Servers. To edit the new server’s configuration, simply tap the blue disclosure button next to the server. To connect to the server, tap on the server’s name.
